Ovie Panders to Russian Papers

Alex Ovechkin, ever the home-loving charmer, said in his latest interview that he'd take a leave of absence from the NHL to play in the Sochi 2014 Olympics -- if the NHL didn't stop for the games as they're doing next year. He added later in the interview, when asked if he'd ever play in the KHL, that "you never know what is going to happen tomorrow."

This seems like Ovie is just playing to the crowd. He'd done a great job of that during his Caps' career and in other media, such as his E:60 interview and Mike Green's "Day in the Life" special. I honestly don't think the Caps have anything to worry about, especially since we're discussing something so far in the future.
